Privacy Policy
What Bin Ninja LLC, doing business as Ninja Christmas Lights, collects when you use our website or get in touch, why, who else sees it, and how our texts and emails work. In plain English.

Not yet reviewed. This page was drafted against how our website, design tool, texts and emails are set up to work. Tyler and Chelsea May haven't approved it yet.
What we collect
In our quote form we ask for your name, phone number, email, the address of the property, which service you're interested in, and a message if you add one. If you use our design tool, it collects a photo of your house, your design and your contact details (see Our design tool below).
When you call, text or email us
We have the phone number or email address you contacted us from, and the messages you send us.
Our customer records
If you ask us for a quote or book work with us, we keep your contact details, the details of your property and the work, our messages with you, and your text and email choices, including any opt-out or unsubscribe.
Basic browser details
Like any website, ours runs on a web host. Its servers receive the basic details every browser sends, such as your IP address, your browser type and the page you asked for. That's how pages get delivered.
How we use it
- To answer your quote request and give you a quote
- To contact you, in the way you asked us to, about the work you asked us about
- To schedule your installation and, for seasonal lights, in-season visits and takedown, and to tell you about changes to a visit
- To provide customer support
- To send marketing text messages, only where you have separately agreed to them
- To send occasional marketing emails to our customers and to people who have agreed to receive them (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To keep ordinary business records
- To keep the website working and secure, for example by screening out spam
We don't use your information for anything else.
When you send the quote form
Along with what you type, the form sends which page you sent it from and when you opened the form. Our site also notes when your request arrives and what browser you're using.
Our site checks that everything's filled in and screens out spam. Anything that looks like it came from a bot is dropped. To keep the form from being flooded, the server also remembers the IP addresses of recent requests so it can count repeats. It only keeps that list in its memory.
Our website doesn't keep a copy of your request. It passes it, with the details above, to Make, an automated routing service that Svear runs for us, which emails it to us. If it can't be sent, the form tells you, and you can call or email us instead.
Our design tool
The design tool on our homepage lets you upload a photo of your house, draw lights on it, and send us the design. It's run for us by Svear, the web agency that built this website, on its own servers, and it appears on our homepage inside a frame. It only loads when you open it.
Like our site, its servers receive the basic details every browser sends, such as your IP address. It doesn't pass your IP address on to us, and it doesn't set cookies or save anything in your browser. It also counts which of its steps get used, without any of your details.
When you send us a design, the tool sends us the photo of your house you uploaded (made smaller in your browser, with its location data removed, and without its file name), the lights and decorations you drew, a picture of your design (and the realistic photo, if you made one), the measurement you made (the door you marked and the width you picked), the estimate the tool showed you with the estimated footage of each type of light, and our own internal estimate for the job. It also sends what you enter in its form: your name, the address where the lights go, your phone number and email, the best way to reach you, how you heard about us, and any notes. It also tells us which page of our site you used it on, when your request arrived, and the statement shown beside its send button, as it was worded then.
Svear processes and routes the requests you send through the tool as part of providing it and its integrations, including an automated routing service, Make, that delivers your request to us by email. Nothing you do in the tool reaches us until you send us your design.
Realistic photos. Nothing from the design tool goes to an AI service unless you tap a button that makes a realistic photo ("Create realistic photo", "Try again", "Create another" or "Create a new one"). Each time you do, a copy of the photo of your house you uploaded (reduced in size, with its location data removed) is sent to two AI services that Svear uses for it. Google, through its Gemini API, receives the photo and a fixed instruction to make an evening version of it; that request uses a no-store setting. Anthropic receives your photo and Google's evening version, to check that the result still matches your house. Neither of them receives your design, your name, address, phone number, email, notes, how you heard about us, your photo's file name or your IP address, but anything visible in the photo itself, such as your house number, may be visible to them. The realistic photo comes back only to your browser, and Svear's servers don't keep a copy. If you then send us your design, the realistic photo comes to us with it. Google and Anthropic handle what they receive under their own terms and policies, which may allow them to keep it for a period of time.
Sending us a design lets us contact you about it. It doesn't sign you up for our text messages or our marketing emails.
Who else sees your information
We use these companies to run our website and to reach you. Each of them receives only what it needs to do that job for us.
- Vercel hosts this website and runs the code that receives our quote form. Its servers receive the basic browser details described above, including your IP address.
- Make passes requests from our quote form, and designs sent from our design tool, on to us.
- Google provides our email (Gmail), where your requests arrive and where we write back to you.
- Google and Anthropic receive a copy of the photo of your house only if you choose "Create realistic photo" in our design tool (see Our design tool).
- GoHighLevel is the platform we send and receive text messages and emails through. It holds the contact details of the people we message, our messages with them, and their text and email choices, so that those messages can be delivered and those choices are kept.
- Svear, the web agency that built and looks after this website, runs our design tool and helps us set up and manage our texts and emails. It does that work for us.
- Jobber is the software we use to manage our customers and jobs. Your quote request, your contact details and the details of any work you book with us are kept there.
- Mobile carriers deliver our text messages.
We use these providers to operate the website and our communications. We do not authorize them to use your mobile phone number or SMS consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We don't sell your information
Ninja Christmas Lights does not sell or rent your personal information, your mobile phone number, your SMS opt-in data, or your messaging consent. We do not share any of it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that help us operate our forms and send and support our texts (such as our messaging platform, the agency that helps us run it, and the mobile carriers).
We give information to the service providers listed above only as necessary to operate our website, process our forms and requests, provide hosting, or deliver our texts and emails.
Your consent to receive text messages belongs to Ninja Christmas Lights' text message programs. We do not transfer it to anyone else, and no other company may text you on the strength of it.
Text messages
What we collect
When you give us your mobile phone number, we collect that number and the messages you exchange with us. We also keep a record of your text message choices, including any opt-out.
Where our texts come from
Our texts come from our business texting number. Our customer support number is (406) 600-4227. That's how you reach a person.
Two kinds of texts, two separate opt-ins
Service texts are about something you've asked us for: replies to your quote request, your quote and follow-up about it, scheduling and confirming your installation, in-season visits and takedown, arrival times, and changes to a scheduled visit.
Marketing texts are recurring promotional messages, such as seasonal offers and reminders to book for the coming season.
These are two separate opt-ins, and both are optional. Agreeing to service texts does not sign you up for marketing texts. We send marketing texts only to people who have separately agreed to receive them. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us. Giving us your phone number, or simply sending us a form, is not by itself agreement to receive text messages.
Our website's quote form doesn't offer a text message sign-up yet, so sending it doesn't sign you up for either kind.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies. Service texts are sent as needed while your quote or job is active. Marketing texts, if you agreed to them, are recurring and seasonal. Message and data rates may apply. Ninja Christmas Lights does not charge you for text messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any text from us and we'll stop. Our messaging platform and the mobile carriers may also recognize QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPT OUT and REVOKE.
Those aren't the only ways to opt out. Tell us to stop by any reasonable means, including by calling (406) 600-4227 or emailing NinjaChristmasLights
Reply HELP to any text for help, or call (406) 600-4227.
Our full text message terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
Emails
We email you about your quote request, your quote and any work you book with us.
We may also send occasional marketing emails, such as seasonal offers and reminders to book for the coming season, through GoHighLevel. We send them only to our customers and to people who have agreed to receive them. Agreeing to marketing texts and agreeing to marketing emails are separate choices.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Use it, or ask us by calling (406) 600-4227 or emailing NinjaChristmasLights
How long we keep it
Our website doesn't keep a copy of what you send through it, and the design tool doesn't store your request either. Copies of quote requests and designs may remain in the email and automation systems Svear uses to deliver them to us. Svear's own privacy policy covers how long it keeps them.
We keep your request, our messages with you, and any quote or job records for as long as is reasonably necessary to answer you, carry out the work you book, and keep ordinary business and tax records.
Copies also sit outside our own records. The providers listed above hold what passed through them, and anything you email or text us stays in that inbox or on that phone.
We keep a record of your text message consent, and of any opt-out or unsubscribe, for as long as is reasonably necessary to document that consent and to make sure a number or email address that has opted out isn't messaged again.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Call us at (406) 600-4227 or email NinjaChristmasLights
We will respond consistent with applicable law. We may need to keep some information even after such a request, for example to keep ordinary business, contract or tax records, to meet a legal requirement, to deal with fraud or security, or to go on honoring a text message opt-out or an email unsubscribe. We can't delete the record of an opt-out without risking messaging you again by mistake.
Data security
Ninja Christmas Lights takes reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect the personal information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard customer information and limit access to authorized personnel and service providers who need the information to perform business-related functions.
Analytics
We don't use analytics or tracking tools right now. There are no ads or tracking pixels, and apart from the design tool, which only loads when you open it, the site doesn't load anything from other companies.
Some buttons and the quote form make a note when they're used, like a click on "Get a quote". Right now those notes don't leave the page, and they never include what you type.
There's no chat widget. We don't collect information about your activity on other companies' websites, and nothing on this site is used to build an advertising profile of you.
Age requirement and children
This website and our services are intended for adults age 18 and older. By sending a form, asking for a quote, using our design tool, or otherwise providing personal information through this website, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
Ninja Christmas Lights does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe that someone under 18 has provided personal information through this website, please contact us at (406) 600-4227 or NinjaChristmasLights
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we'll post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we ever want to use your mobile phone number, or the text message consent you gave us, in a way this policy doesn't already describe, we'll ask for your consent again rather than relying on a change to this page. You can stop our texts at any time by replying STOP, and unsubscribe from our marketing emails with the link in any of them.
